Favorite Restaurants:

Breakfast/Brunch:

North Italia – Weekend Only Brunch

Hands down, my favorite casual weekend brunch. My favorite thing to eat is the daily omelet special with a side of roasted breakfast potatoes, extra crispy, with Calabrian chili paste on the side for dipping. They also have a Sicilian Margarita I’m quite fond of!

Reservations not required for brunch.

Wright’s at the Biltmore Sunday Brunch

Sunday brunch at Wright’s is an experience! At $49/adult the ambiance is stunning, the mimosas are bottomless, and the buffet spread is spectacular. I also recommend ordering one of each small plate entrée for the table (included in the $49) for everyone to share.

Reservations are recommended.

Lon’s at the Hermosa

In my experience, the service can be a bit relaxed, however the brunch menu and cocktails are absolutely spectacular. They also have one of the most gorgeous outdoor patios in Phoenix.

If a meal isn’t in the cards, I absolutely suggest an afternoon cocktail. Try the home crafted white sangria or Moscow mule!

You probably don't need to make reservations for cocktails only, but I would suggest reservations for brunching, to be safe.

Lunch / Dinner

Tarbell’s

They have Caymus by the glass and a fabulous menu. Chef Mark Tarbell even has a show on PBS; a bit of a local celebrity! What I love about this place is despite the accolades, the service is consistently lovely and I’ve never had a bad meal.

Last time I dined at Tarbell’s, I was delighted to find one of my favorite wine makers, Justin Vineyards (Paso Robles), by the bottle at an extremely reasonable price.

You'll definitely want to make reservations for dinner.

Beckett’s Table

Hands down, my absolute favorite neighborhood dinner spot. There is not a bad selection on the menu, service is great, ambiance is pleasant, casual and never noisy. Try the deviled egg of the day, pan seared sea scallops, green chili pork stew (my #1 choice) and chocolate dipped bacon s’mores for dessert.

You'll definitely want to make reservations for dinner.

Chelsea’s Kitchen

Chelsea’s offers another favorite patio – much preferred to the noisy interior – with an extensive menu and cocktails; great for people watching. My go-to selections are the tuna tartare & guacamole, Brussels sprout salad and the surf & turf taco platter. My husband and I often get all three and share!

Reservations not available.

Sumo Maya

Sumo Maya can get crazy noisy at night, so I suggest this spot for lunch or early dinner if you prefer a quiet setting. You’ve never experienced miso like theirs, and I have dreams about the white fish tiradito!

Reservations are recommended.

Zinc Bistro

I always feel happy and festive when I dine at Zinc Bistro, especially when there is cause to be up by the Kierland Shops in North Scottsdale. Try the Alaskan halibut or the steak frites! Also, if you love a good charcuterie board, this is the place to be!

Reservations are recommended.

Favorite Local Attractions:

Taliesin West

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Taliesin West is a MUST DO if you get the chance. I suggest the 90-minute ‘Insights Tour’, $35/adult.

If you enjoy the desert landscape & architecture, I promise you’ll fall in love with Frank Lloyd Wright’s genius! I’ll never tire of this tour.

I recommend booking tour tickets online. They fill up quickly!
